Church
What are services like?
The main meeting each Sunday lasts 1 hour and is called sacrament meeting. We sing, pray, and listen to talks given by different members of the congregation every week.
The 2nd hour depends on the Sunday but includes classes specifically for men, women, youth, and children.
What should you wear?
You’re welcome to come in any clothes you feel comfortable in. Most men wear button-up shirts and ties, and women typically wear dresses or skirts, and children usually dress up too.
Do you have to participate?
There’s no requirement to participate. Just sit back and enjoy the service. if you want to participate, like taking the sacrament or responding to questions you’re welcome to do whatever feels comfortable.
What happens afterwards?
Church is a community where we can socialize and support each other. You can make friends, feel a sense of belonging, and build a support network that you can rely on. The Church community helps us to “mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort” (Mosiah 18:9).
